How much does an office phone booth cost?
A single-person office phone booth in the UK typically costs somewhere between about £3,000 and £15,000 + VAT. Roughly, the market splits into three bands:
- Affordable pods, around £3,000–£4,500 + VAT. The best of these are fully equipped and properly tested; the cheapest can cut corners on acoustics, ventilation or build quality.
- Mid-range pods, around £4,500–£8,000 + VAT. More finishes and options, often with some features charged as extras.
- Premium designer pods, £8,000 + VAT and up. Well-known brands, high-end materials and design, and a price to match.
On top of the booth itself, most suppliers charge for delivery and for installation, so always compare the total installed price rather than the headline figure.
What affects the price of a phone pod
Acoustic performance
How well a booth reduces speech is the single most important thing you are paying for. Look for a figure tested to ISO 23351-1 rather than a vague claim. The Maxi achieves a 28.6 dB speech level reduction. Read what that means in practice.
What is included as standard
Some pods charge extra for the desk, power, lighting or ventilation. Every Maxi Phone Booth comes with a height-adjustable desk, two UK double sockets, 65W USB-C and USB-A charging, motion-sensor lighting, twin ventilation fans and an occupancy light, all included.
Delivery and installation
An assembled phone booth weighs several hundred kilograms, so delivery and installation are a real part of the cost. Check whether the price includes unloading, assembly on site and taking the packaging away.
Lead time
Pods built to order can take 8–12 weeks or more. The Maxi is held in stock in the UK and dispatched within 1–2 weeks of payment.
Warranty
A longer warranty usually reflects a better-built product. Every Maxi installed by our team has a 5-year warranty.

The booth is £3,325 + VAT (£3,990 inc. VAT). Delivery is £250 per booth anywhere in the UK, and installation by our own team is £850 for the first booth and £500 for each additional booth. Here is what you pay in total:

Delivery only (no installation) is £3,575 + VAT (£4,290 inc. VAT) for one booth. It arrives on a pallet at the kerbside and needs a forklift to unload, and the 5-year warranty only applies to booths installed by our team, so most customers choose installation.
Is a cheap office phone booth worth it?
It can be, as long as the price is low for the right reasons. A low-cost pod that has not been acoustically tested, has poor ventilation or arrives months late is a false economy. The Maxi keeps its price down by doing one size well and holding stock in the UK, not by cutting what matters: it is tested to ISO 23351-1, changes the air every 80 seconds, and is installed by our own team with a 5-year warranty.
Ways to keep the cost down
- Order several booths at once. Installation drops to £500 for each additional booth.
- Order from stock. In-stock booths avoid the long lead times and surcharges of made-to-order pods.

Are there any hidden extras?
No. The desk, power, lighting, ventilation and occupancy light are all included. The only additions are delivery (£250 per booth) and, if you choose it, installation (£850 for the first booth, £500 for each extra).
How do I pay?
Order online and choose “Pay by invoice”. We email a pro-forma invoice within one working day, you pay by bank transfer, and we book a short site survey before installation. No card is needed.
